Yes, writing code is only going to get more automated as time goes on, but as you already recognized software is much more than just coding, and focusing on the skillset that helps you think in terms of systems is the way to go so far
Computer science fundamentals and systems engineering as well as product sense are still important, you can’t come up with any meaningful system by just thinking in terms of code.
Combining the fundamentals with the power of AI and good product sense can make you unstoppable, you also need to build more and gain experience and be on top of things so you don’t fall behind.
And definitely if you can dive deeper into AI Engineering that can also open up new opportunities.
