After AI in software companiesDid these companies(specially AI Boomers) that invested heavily in AI in development process reduce the time to build software end to end starting from the product requirements unti deployment and stability and customer satisfaction ?
I'm saying this because I see that AI has reduced time of coding phase that wasn't the bottleneck in the process (with tools that have automated it before AI)
and if the AI reduced the time end to end, does the difference worth the cost ?
I think in case of MVP product it is perfect and already reduced the cost

Bringing a brand new product or service to market is a very long and exhausting process, and as you mentioned coding was not the blocker usually, so in my opinion that part is still very challenging, AI definitely contributed to it indirectly, like helping with research, and analytics, and coding, but I don't think it can make this part significantly faster, or improve its odds of success significantly.
However, for well established projects and services, it can definitely help adding value and expanding them, helping engineers working across the stack not limited to only specific areas, as well as reducing the cost of paying off tech debt when used strategically, and finding and fixing hidden issues like in security for example, this where I see the most value these days.
