Why FANNG still having problem solving questions which is very hard compared to the day to day coding with AI?

Part of it because it is the most straightforward way to filter through candidates, and hiring staff already well calibrated on this model, the other part it makes sure that candidates are not one trick ponies that only know how to do certain job well, but cannot easily be ready to transform their duties when markets shift.
